Pensions
One word says it all, back in July OPSEU wrote to you with some information about McGuinty’s attack on pension plans. We’d like to announce that OPSEU will be holding tele town halls on September 20th and September 24th for members to get more information and education around the pensions and the attack on them.
Smokey Thomas, President of OPSEU will be moderating the call and the Pension Liasion Committee members (Region 2 RVP Mike Grimaldi, Region 5 RVP Nancy Pridham) will be acting as panelists for the town hall.
The purpose of the town halls is to education members and to give them a chance to speak and listen to others.
Details of the town halls are as follows.
Thursday, September 20th, 2012 – 6:25 to 7:25 PM for Regions 6 and 7
Thurday, September 20th, 2012 – 7:00 to 8:00 PM for Regions 3 and 4
Monday, September 24th, 2012 – 6:25 to 7:25 PM for Regions 1 and 2
Monday, September 24th, 2012 – 7:00 to 8:00 PM for Region 5
To participate in the calls, here is what you need to do:
If your correct phone number is in OPSEU’s database, you will get a phone call a few minutes before your Tele Town Hall starts. All you have to do to participate is
to stay on the line.
or call in to 1-877-229-8493 at any time during the Town Hall. You may choose to listen only or to participate in discussion by following directions.
